Well, im sick of the crap respray i did on the zook, and im looking to get it done properly.
What is the cost of getting a panel beater to spray it in 2 pac?

a panel shops gunna charge you more than you'd like. my advice would be to buy your own paint. ask about polyurethane or polyamide cured epoxy or something like that at your local dulux/wattyl/ameron/international industrial paint store. a lot cheaper than auto paint, and plenty good enough for a fourby. then find someone with a spraygun and go nuts. buy heaps of thinners and clean everything before the paint dries on it.
or ait for some good samaritan to offer to paint it for you.

don't waste your money on a quality paint job. As your signature says, save for lockers and a winch.

a straight resprany in 2pac basecoat will only cost ya $200 or so, thats all that mine is, 3 coats, no clear, no polishing or anything and it comes up looking good
i wouldnt even waste my time looking at acrylic or enamel after seeing how easy 2pac is, its worth the little extra
as for getting a panel beater to do it, if you prepped it and everything, and they just had to spray it, i reckon you be looking at at least $1000 to do it

antt, did you spray the 2pac yourself?
was it pre thinned?
hows it go with staining with no clear coat?
Also, with getting into the comp scene, it is easier to get sponsors if you have nice shiny paint
Cheers

i did the prep work on mine and had a friend paint. all ya have to do is mix something like 2 parts basecoat to 1 part thinner, then ad a tough of hardner. we used a product called 'rocket' hardner on mine, and it was right to drive home 1hr after painting
its fine with no clear coat, the surface is shiny and not porous, just like normal car paint. so it doesn't stain
as for the comp scene thingo. i think its easier to get sponsors if you have nice, even bright paint, which is part of the reason i did mine so bright. cause bright colours show up in pics better (for mags and vids), and attract attention. downside is it also attracts cop attention as well

dude i just did mine. it was SCREWED. Bent, dented you name it. My mate is a panelbeater. I just bought bog, undercoat 2pac, and 2k solid 2pac colour. so far i have done 2 coats of undercoat and one of the 2k colour and it looks wayyyy better. cost me about $270 for everything and looks like factory quality. its the same application as acrylic but it involves hardeners. its eaaaasy. YOu wont regret it. but something i learnt is, prep is everything.

rustoleum + roller = nice paint job.
Takes about half an hour for the whole car. Only thing to watch is roller lines...
