Diesel "Kikki" Aircon compressor

Post by Slug »

Anyone know if theres an equivalent or how tough it is to find replacement spares ? Mines shagged a front bearing and in turn destroyed the clutch :x Headed into Darwin tomorrow arvo to try and find something to replace it or find someone to replace clutch and front seal at the very least.

you can get the equivalent brand from repco and places like that but be prepared for a shock. $1000 and up i got quoted. Mine did the same thing. Took it to the joint that rebuilds them in Brisbane and $350 later i have practically a brand new compressor. (all new internals anyway, and a paintjob) The compressor was also filled with oil to suit 134A gas. If doing the job yourself ensure you change the filter dryer, TX valve, etc.
