what car, no reason you wouldn't use second hand at the right price, retail new are around $1400.00 and $1200.00 tends to be a reasonable price, what rig and I will get ya a price

say you buy a second hand one (say a landcruiser diff)... do you just throw the 3rd in and run some airlines, or do you need to get ARB to install it on the new rig?

give or take 50 on $1000 is good for an ARB, then you have to buy carrier bearings, then the install then the compressor.

If you`ve never had an ARB before you will love detriots, but once you`ve had an ARB you will find them a royal pain in the arse.

Not certain on the price of them these days but when I bought mine 6 years ago (was replaced with an ARB years ago) I payed $1050, then had to get carrier bearings and get it fitted.

extra tyre wear, makes rig drive like shit, clunking, banging, backlash not beingable to turn the locks off on off camber slipery stuff, I found it to be harder on the ring n pinion and used to wear them out quicker.

if you're buying australian ar without question  you can import the lunchbox lockers cheeep but you get what you pay for. My rear for the zook cost $290 landed.... but they're not a replacement center like a real detroit.

Go arb you won't regret it :D I will when my lockwrong grenades
