Touch-up white wheels

Post by -Scott- »

Two of my 15 month old ROH steelies are showing quite a few tiny rust spots after 10 days on Fraser. I found some info on respraying the whole wheel, but if I do a whole respray I'll loose the silly stripes on only two wheels - the other wheels are OK.

Does anybody have tips on just touching up the spots?

Thanks,

Scott

mask the stripes and paint the whole wheel?

or take a touch-up brush and individuallyh touch up the spots.

I think they look better in almost any other colour, get a hammerd metal finish in the colour of your choice, it neatly hides the runs and sags.

I did the wheels on my bundy in hammered finish 'coral red' (it's really pink) and it looked pretty cool.

If you are worried about the stripes on 2 wheels - just spray all 4 so they all look the same ;)

I know someone who did that to an old subaru sportswagon - bought it beat up and cheap, quick rattlecan coat of blue hammertone, sold it for twice as much.
