i know guys search i have and there was no definate answer for which diff ratio's to use

i have a GQ with auto and holden V8 with 3.9 ratio's running 35inch tyres i don't know which ratio's to upgrade to 4.3 or 4.6

u still using patrol auto box? if u were using original motor id say go 4.6's...but with the extra grunt and torque 4.1 would do the job ok..4.3's would be good. 4.6's would have the 5L reving hard..thts if using original box.. if u using turbo700 they should have a low enough first gear to work with the 35's with ur 3.9's..

Go 4.6's dude you have a Shorty Ute only a matter of time before you wanna try 37's or something larger but you do live in QLD.... I believe Less trouble will you have in finding 4.6 gears...

As the other guy said ideally with that box 4.3's would give you standard gearing for 35's with the original motor... But as your setup varies.
