extended breathers on GQ

Post by CRUSHU »

I am doing extended breathers on my GQ, and have run a 5mm vac hose from the rear to the engine bay and went to do the front diff, and noticed that the standard breather links up with the auto and transfer case breather, and goes up into the engine bay anyway, and goes into the left hand wheel arch cavity, at the top of the engine bay.
I think I will run a hose off the pipe, and run it to a Ryco Z102K fuel filter (has 2 8mm inlets at the bottom, and 1 8mm outlet at the top) saves using 2 filters.
Any other Ideas?

Good idea using filters, stops dust and moisture from cycling in.
On the gearbox remove the hose and pipe that runs UNDER exh and cut pipe so it runs above exh to chassis. They get ripped off underneath and also block up with sludge.
