fitting a 2LT to a 90 model hilux ?

Post by soo33y »

Hey guys,

I can get a 2.4 TD out of a hilux surf for a very reasonable price.

My question is, does it bolt straight into the hilux ?

And how would performance go against a 3L non turbo ?

Thanks,
Daniel.

I would have to say dont do it! Its cheap for a reason. These are problematic engines. I would say depending on your budget do a Holden V6 conversion or if funds are an issue maybe just get a turbo and manifold and all the piping necessary off a 2LT or even go after market turbo kit.

My 2 c, but see what other people have to say.

I had a surf with a 2L-T, and my 3L hilux with a DTS turbo kit goes a heap better.
