For those who has the Impco LPG system, it sounds that we all have the A31 air filter sitting on the carby on top of the block all exposed in the engine bay.
I was wondering if anyone has managed to get a sealed box for the filter? I am asking because I wanted to put a snorkel ( rear facing ) for water crossings.

LPG A31 Airboxed??
God of Magnificant Ideas!
know this drama real well.
fixed it with a "BOILERS POT"
shop around the St Vinnys shops etc for an old boiling pot that is large enough to give around 2 inches of clearance to the air filter....
cut a hole in the bottom the same as the coverplate of the mixer and drill the bolt holes to match
trim the sides to a height you need so the the thing sits as close as posiable to the inlet manifold
this is mine on a 308 in a Patrol....cost me 1/2 an hour to do and the pot cost $3.00
Ive done rivers up to 5' deep and as you can see it gets plenty of mud action
The one in the pic is a steel job.....
the new one on the Chev is alloy >>>>>> bling bling
