Which oils for RR?

Post by ytt105 »

I'm about to do the oil changes in my 1987 RR which has a 3.9 EFI, on gas, with a 5spd manual, LT230 transfer.

I'd like to use the same oil in the gearbox, transfer case and diffs. But which oil.

Options so far are; engine oil with Moreys, 80/90 EPW gear oil, Castrol Multitrax 75/90 (works great in Alfa transaxles), automatic trans fluid, banana skins, etc.

My current thinking for the swivle pins is straight Moreys or Lucas oil stabilisor.

Any comments?

PS. I use 20/50 in the engine, usually Valvoline when its on special.
