G'day fellas putting my td42 back together and need to buy gaskets and dont want to spend $600 on a nissan kit. however i can get a protork kit [spelling?] for about $300. has anyone used these gaskets? how do they preform? or know of any others that are known to last well. i am running a turbo.

Go for the Nissan kit it's more cost more but has all the right gaskets for the job. Cannot remember which kit it was, but brought a full rebiuld kit from a third party and found the gaskets not quite right in size or quality.

If you do go and buy a cheap repair kit make shore you buy a Nissan Head Gasket as all other one's I've tried blew in the first 12 months (I am running between 18 and 20 psi boost).

Yes can second that--the Nissan kit although expensive, has all the gaskets you need.
