Limiting straps

Post by Gordo »

Going to make myself some limiting straps (for coil sprung Jeep) to 1) stop shocks over-extending and 2) stop springs dropping out (esp in rear - using pretty short springs).

Yes - has spring retainers (now) and no don't want to get longer shocks - want a a rope-driver rig not a rock crawler for now.

Suspension is good for 8" over stock and shocks are 6" over stock.

Where did u get yours ?

Did you make them yourself ?

Are they 1" shorter than total shock travel and follow the shock travel line as most info on the net recommends ?

Where did you get the buckles from ?

Is an old seat belt ok to use (have an as-new audi belt for cheap that can get cut and sewn up)

Any pics of mounts would be supercool - TIA :)

prob go for something like this for the front :

$100 ea is pretty exy but they are adjustable I guess so maybe not too bad. Still reckon the DIY $4 seatbelt from Revolve is the go :)
