You need to suss out how your's mounts onto the engine and then find something similar. You'll then possibly have problems with the pulley being different and the wrong offset (make sure you know someone with a metal lathe before starting ;) ), plus have to wire a different plug into your loom.

You'll also need a rattle gun to undo the pulley bolt if you need to swap them.

www.aea.com.au is a good place to start looking for similar alternators.

I picked up a secondhand Camry one that I've fitted to my Feroza- 20 Amp increase in output for $60 outlay from a wrecker (and a lot of time to fit it :bad-words: ) Toyota wanted over $900 for a brand new one!?

i upgraded my rocky 3y with a exchange alternater with a internal electronic regulater , the old alternater had a external electro-mechanical regulater was rated about amps. the replacement is rated about 60 amps and had to be installed by a auto electrician with the same mounting brackets for $110 all up

alternator

I got my mate to build me a alternator to produce a max output of 180amps. Its a Bosch thats been modified for my 22re Bundy. It cost me $200.

It's to power 1kw or 1,000watts of high beam :)
