i've converted a hilux from petrol to diesel, and all is well except i need to set-up a glow plug system
for just a basic set-up, what would i need to do???
my ideas so far were: heavy gauge wire running straight from battery to glow plugs, via a relay, which is activated by a simple push button switch in the cab
would this work????

Re: glow plug help
no reason it wont work, but make sure you fuse it in case the relay gets seized openElmo wrote:i've converted a hilux from petrol to diesel, and all is well except i need to set-up a glow plug system

prolly best idea, a mate has an ex NRMA lux with a button for the glow plugs so I will check if it is on a timed relaygotoy wrote:Make sure the voltage of your glow plugs matches that of the battery.
Yes will work, try install a relay witha timer, ie. 3 to 11 secs or so. That way you won't overheat.
