Tail lights not working

Post by starion fil »

Hi everyone
IM having some problems getting my tail lights to work on the a MQ, addintionally the dash lights are also not working. Ive have power at the fuse box, no broken fuse however no power at the rear of the car. My headlights work and my stop lights and indicators function. It seems to be just the tail lights and number plate lights.

If anyone can help with thsi it would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

check the wiring loom to rear along chassis as have seen worn body mounts cause the body to drop towards chassis, resulting in broken (cut) wires in loom.

for the dash lights check the dimmer switch is connected and working. Just use a bit of wire to short across the plug and check the lights come on. If they do then the switch is the problem. Otherwise check for power at the switch and work your way either forward or backwards.
