Evening all,
Looking at buying a higher volume tank for my lux and wondered if anyone knows where i can get a good price on one? (Im after a tank for a 3rzfe model lux but its going into a rn105 (22r) as im doing a supra engine conversion and thought i'd use a new tank insted of an external surge tank)

dont people fit GQ tanks to them? you can get 95ltr stock GQ tanks for sod all at wreckers or LPG fittersSASS wrote:Evening all,

No idea whether this is workable but it's an idea I had recently that might be worth a look.
My old man had LPG fitted to his EA Falcon station wagon, and they pulled out the stock petrol tank to replace it with a half tank.
The stock tank is an interesting shape, it's a big square that's only a few inches thick. My first thought was that it could be really easy to squeeze under a ute tray at least in some cases. They are worth next to nothing so maybe take a look at whether you can run it in conjunction with the stock tank.
Anyway, it might be useless but that's how some ideas go!

But I belive, that the GQ tank is a good fit. Only problem is you need to find a new spot to mount the spare. As you need to cut out the cross member that holds tha spare up. And the tank fits in nicely.
Probably doesnt help you with the surg tank question though. I know some people dont even worry about it though.
