Gas or Foam filled shocks?????? :?

I have one supplier telling me that gas filled shocks are the bis, then I have a second supplier telling me foam filled shocks are the best! :!: Reading the suppliers material they both state more or less the same as the other, except for one its gas, and the other its foam!!!

They both claim the same thing, 'the shockabsorber will bounce back under extreme condtions'. I think they mean that going over a big pot hole the shock will bounce back

So which is the best? Or are they all the same?
