Approved steering arms and draglinks?

does anyone actually know if these items are appoved or not. Specifically i am talking abot the BATC ones. Although I know they come with an engineers certificate, that doesn't always mean that it meets the qld transport requirements. The booklets says the

"the welding, chrome plating heating or bending of axels, suspension or steering components as a method of repair or alteration in not permitted."

However this has been written to cover mod to std items, not specific to aftermarket replacement units although you would not be able to perform the above mods to an approved aftermarket item, if one such exists.

As far as I see it aftermarket replacement parts can be fitted to a vehicle as long as it is equal or above the manufacturers orignal strength keeping to the original design. Is this true and do they require ADR approval? If this reads coorect you would not be able to fit an aftermarket axel as a replacement part unless it had all the approvals, although it would have to meet a standard, whatever that may be - once again ADR?

BATC ones are registered with qdot i believe

they sure are . les sponsored my new truck. it went over the pits for dot approval they knew all about them. they are the best arms. thanks les batc ph.... 38904211 tell them chris sent you you will get a bit cheaper

this is where i am getting all my new stuff too. Reasonable price, comparable to everything else.

they come with certs but you still have to apply or register the arms when fitted on your vehicle for them to be fully legal.
