hey all, a mate has a 89 diesel cruiser (60series????) and is looking at getting the leaves reset. afaik it has the factory spring packs and the rears have sagged a little. he doesn't want to lift just get it back up. he's been quoted about$800 for 2 new front shocks, 4 leaf packs reset, add a leaf to each rear pack and new bushes. now i'm just woundering if this will loose a bit of articulation by adding a leaf. what are the alternatives and is there any brands/sets that he could buy that will give decent on road manners with out loosing flex. he tows a horse float about once a month.
cheers, serg

$800 is too dear
if he shops around he will get it much cheaper.
you can get complete (imported) suspension kits for about $1000 including springs shackles shocks bushes etc etc, from city suspension (QLD).
im sure you could get some ARB or something rear springs for less than $250ea, which would still leave you $300 fro shoscks which is doable.
so yeah, $800 is way too dear for resetting springs.
