cd player amp usage

would anyone know or how do i find out how many amps a cd player users and when you know what it is would it be the max amount

I have a Pioneer MP3, and the book says "Max Current Consumption 10.0 A". I assume this is if you are pumping near full volume though.

thanks for that so that would mean i would have to get a 24v-12v convertor to cover ten amps

Why dont u just connect the stereo to one battery ie 12v, then u wont need the converter. I did that to my MQ (24v). A lot simpler. Just ran one wire to +'ve 2nd battery and earth the -'ve to body.

i know you can do this but dont want to stuff batteries so i wanted to do it properly though a convertor
