Body Lift Compliance

Post by Flat_Matt »

Hey,

I live on the Gold Coast QLD and I was wondering as I may be getting a zook soon and it has a non compled body lift and I was wondering if i Really need it complied and If I dont, what are the penalites if I dont.

Also, if I do, whats the average price range to get a compliance cert for it?

Thanks

Compliance is possible in QLD for up to 2" body lift. you want to do it before your car gets beaten around (or otherwise illegally modified eg larger tyres) cos they check the car while it's in the pits.

The consequences of legality are small, more of an issue is the insurance aspect of unapproved mods.

While it's theoretically up to the insurance company to prove that your modifications contributed to the accident, they have a better legal team than you do....
