I sort of agree with you on the genuine parts bit but there are some basic parts which are (were) genuine only.

I am trying to find a top radiator hose for a F85 with a 3Y motor and all I get from places is "genuine only mate". Fair enough but where?

So I thought I would try and find a flexhose to fit (the ones with the spiral wire inside) but so far none with the right diameter (1 3/8?)

This really sux - just for a radiator hose!

Go to a place that has the radiator hoses on the shelves and have a look through them all. You should be able to find something that will do the job- even if you cut one up.

Thanks David.

There are no obvious ones in the catalogue (eg for 4Y Hilux, etc) but I will have a look through it all eventually.

I have tried going through supercheap having a look at their shevles but gee they have s*&t all over the place there.

I'll keep trying. Thanks again.
