yeah, difference is noticable.
Like you, Ive had a charade before and when I got the feroza, I started to look for ways to get "that sound"...
so I took off the entire intake system and played around piping it different etc etc.
Turns out that the kidney shaped thingo on the grille side of the air filter box is infact a resonator, and when removed... the car produces that lovely sound again. (also helps if you remove the lid of the air filter box too :)

anyway.. It revs pretty hard right out to 6500 without the box you mention and sounds nice too, however the box magically gives you more grunt at around 2000-3000 so its much nicer to drive around town. (you dont need to rev it so much)

all in all... I decided to put the box back.
There are some documents on WARFS that describe in more detail, including power curves etc about the "magic black box"

Mmm i already got rid of that whole setup there, got a cheapo-rampod about 30 inch straight down the pipe... Seems to increase power above say, 3500... I have no torque atm due to cracked manifold so lookin forward to gettin extractors, 2" exhaust and one of these boxes, hope it should go noicely

Checked out local canberra wreckers today, ferozas seem a bit hard to come by around here (spose because they dont die!)... Gunna try few places interstate on the weekdays see what they can do... if anyone here can help us out with one would be very happy indeed...

Cheers for the response
