so now i have somewhere to store me new toy(GQ swb deisel). i need to complete the ute conversion. ive done a search and can't find any pics or info to help. has any one got any pics even drawings to help me with the chop. im just taken off the roof and closing in the back.
i havent the time to get out to see sandy at AUS4X4.

i cut the body, then stuffed it off and put a complete ute cab body on my shorty chassis......

its a an opption thats cost a fare amount of money. and i can't be fucked swaping a all the dash and stuff. but we'll see how we go.

O-dawg! Rack a nice big sheet of 3mm steel from ya work and I'll give ya hand to cut it and fit a window from somewhere, you better be able to weld decent by now and i can cut n bend alright. (bog is cheap if we cant) I think the flat square cruiser windows are the way to go? have you chopped it yet?

else score a cab from somewhere and bolt it on cause thats what's probably on the cards for me.

And i'm happy to give ya a hand either way 50% cause i want a trial run at it and 50% cause i wanna catch up and sink some booze.

I Got a housewarmin soon too dude, got my shit sorted and movin in wit Elly officially, not that this thread needs me spoutin home life on here but.

If your wanting to cut instead of swap, get hold of a ute cab. Figure out the most convenient and easiest place to cut and reweld and remove the back wall of the cab and roof in one section (factory joins are a good place). Cut your shorty cab in the exact same spots then weld on the roof/rear wall of the ute cab and your all done.

With 2 people will only take a day to do with only finishing touches like painting and trim work left at the end of the day.
