DC inverter welders?

Has anybody used these DC inverter welders before? Cheap and nasty or usable as an emergency tool in the middle of nowhere?

i have used these type of welders before and they are very good but they cost 2-3 grand for a reputable brand i have not used or heard of this brand but for that price you cant go wrong

I have a ryobi branded one, they are great. I prefer it over the standard transformer type

Yeah I bought one of these for the primary purpose of re-selling it to make more $$$....which I managed to achieve.
I tried it out a few times and it worked beautifully. Did not weld for too long or thick plates but it did the job and was nice and compact.
As for its long term durability who would know with these cheapies.

i have this model at home, very good for only small fine detail jobs, and yes i do a mig and larger arc(transformer type) and oxy, welds are a high penertration, and good for panel work, and ive used it a couple of times to do bigger jobs as in 5-6mm plate, not bad for soething that wieghs around the 3 kg mark
oh and they retail in stores around me for 299-350 range
