to get raios more suitable than 4.88's youd have to import from iceland, i remeber hearing the have 5.** somethings, which will be as close as you can get,
oh, and post pics of your rigg on the 44's

5.12 and 5.23 I think it was, but cheezy destroyed them both in hours with 42s...

they don't have GQs in the USA so how could they be running them
Yes the yannks run 44s but they are on things like Dana 60's and Mogs and Rockwells which have the deep diff gears available

From what I can gather... the only streetable tyre as far as ratios are concerned, not legalities, would be a 38 there is nothing reliable for 44's ??...
For 44's the best/strongest you could do would be GU's with 4.8's + crawler gears or dual transfers and then crawler gears in one (maybe both I assume there is a reason cheezy only has crawler gears in one case).
Shave shave shave shave shave...

4.88 are too weak and can be destroyed with 36.s if you drive them hard. i would run dual cases and then you have the right ratio for 44's and change up for little tyres like 35 etc. my overall ratio is 87:1. i have std gears dual transfer, and 4.625's on my gu diffed gq
cheers bru
