Rim offset
Rim offset
Can anybody tell me what rim offset I should have for 15" x 7"'s on a Vitara?
according to this... http://www.tyresave.co.uk/fitment.html#SUZU
factory offset is -10 to -15mm on a 6" rim i assume. this means the backspacing is 66.2mm to 61.2mm.
in order to keep the same backspacing when increasing rim width to 7", your offset would have to be between, -22.7mm to -27.7mm.
someone should check my figures but i'm sure it's pretty close.
with the increased rim width, you might find your tyres will rub on the guard. you might be able to get away with more negative offset but i wouldn't know the practicalities, since i've never owned a vitara. i'm just giving you the maths.
