5sp 3.15 Low Gear T/Case Available For Testing.

Post by Bitsamissin »

Ok we have assembled the pilot set of 3.15 gears into a 5sp manual Paj t/case from a 3.5 V6.
Is anyone willing to test it out ?
I'm willing to ship it interstate but the owner has to look after the install into their vehicle.
Looking for feedback on noise, reduction, operation etc.
If everything looks ok after several months then the vehicles original t/case can be sent back to us here in Melbourne (an exchange basis) and a price worked out for the cost of the gears.
Looking for a NJ-NL 5sp Paj with either 3.5 V6 or 2.8 TDI.
The 3.15 will give a 1st gear reduction of 60:1 for a 3.5 V6 or a 65:1 for a 2.8 TDI.
First in best dressed (no umming and arring) :D
Who's going to be the first Paj owner in the world to trial these gears...................

I'm not 100% sure about the NM's.
They run the same 5sp tramsmission as the earlier 3.5 V6 so logically they should fit.
If I sent you a set (when they are ready) for you to fit would you be interested ? The risk is if they don't fit it is at your cost for the mechanical work and to send them back to me.
If they do fit we can work out a special price for the gears because you were the test pilot.
