He got the gears from ME But according to what he has told me I have sent him three sets of 5.12 and one set of 5.38 which I have never heard of for a ZOOk.
Unfortunately that was the last set we had.

Love to know where the 43 came from - Suzukis are only 41 in the Vitara and being stock at 41/8 eg 5.12:1 I need options that aren't there.

Don't start me or we'll be back on the "custom" diff discussion and someone will yell at me again ;)

My view was custom means something you have to get machined up from scratch but if anyone knows something I can scab bits off to make about some 5.8:1 Suzuki diffs I'd be most interested.

The 43 teeth ring gear come in the 4'5 ratio centres but have 10tooth pinion the one streesed recieved had an 8 tooth pinion.

I thought there were 5.12 and 4.6 only - both using the 41 tooth crownwheel in Aussie Models. Is there another potential combo? What model from?

I don't know anything about suzuki stuff (or anything else  ), but a 43 tooth ring gear with a 10 tooth pinion will give you 4.3, not 4.5

the word 'tooth' also sounds funny when it is in the same sentance a few times :silly:
