which 4b

Post by hardenup »

Hi 2 all,

I have this problem, i new to 4bies and have been playing with fast cars most of my time (drag racing) well i have had a ford maverick as my tow car and know it has come to a point in my lie where the drags bore me and i dont have fun any more  , so time to change my interest  , so i have been going to alot of comps and enjoyed watching. :P

Now the prob is which rig to chose, the present rig is a Ford Maverick LWB(NISORD) which was the tow rig which was standard b4, but now has a 4inch lift, 9 way ranchos, superior engineering adjustable panards front and rear, castor plates, 33inch mtr's, the thing is powered by 4.2 petrol.

The other rig is a MQ patrol SWB with shock hoops, extended shackles custom springs, rear arb air locker is a 2.8l petrol sits on 36inch silverstones.

I know u all prob say why the confusen, well im only starting and no that will prob roll the wagon and do lots of damage (as seen in other threads) and then become a cut down or start project as ute first, the other thing is do have a family, 2 kids and still have to have something for family 4b outings. thats why wife says the wagon as both.

The MQ would be project and a good start point and maverick would b tow rig and wifes car ( sell her car 1st b4 she gets the keys fulltime) say i can have the money, thats my wife, ;)

Hope i havent bored you to sleep :?: , but i research alot b4 spending money.

KInd regards 2 all.

im pretty sure u answered ur own question. keep both the cars, maverick for tow rig and daily driving, mq for playing. the mq as it sits gives u a nice starting point to be something pretty capable and would be alot cheaper to fix when u give it panel damage and break parts all over the place. btw heres another option sell the mq and buy a hilux  (or u could sell it and buy something else :? )

Well more research and reading on Getting a MQ suspension to flex as we know that GQ already flexes, so save the GQ and use as tow vehicle and wifes daily driver and start the hardenup MQueue project.

Kind regards to all.
