surf VS terrano

Post by Trublusk8er »

recently bought a 91 nissan terrano as my first car but i dont know if im happy with it. I wanted to a 3inch suspension lift but found out that the frount end of the terranos is dodgy as it is and the streeing suffers big time with the lift.
My dad has just found out that he knows a guy who imports surfs so i can get one cheap.

So i want to know if you think i should swap to a surf AND WHY.
Or i could do a axle swap with an mk patrol

Oh and i can only get up to 88 model surfs

stick with your terrano, do a mild suspension lift and small body lift, run 32" tyres and you'll be sweet

Had a Surf - nice car but the engine shat itself and cost me a heap.
All IFS's will be hard to lift and get right, but plently of people have swapped the IFS for solid axle on Surfs = good rig.

Perhaps a solid axle swap in a Terrano? Can it be done?

The main failure on the D21 Terrano steering is the Idler. I have fabricated support brackets to strengthen them and have not had one bend since. I dont have the ability to post pics but if you do a search it should be somewhere, maybe the US.
