fj transfer case help

im in dire need of some help boys my fj40 has split two transfer cases in half this year the first in main street marysville on the way to the pajero challenge and the second today driving around has anyone heard of this problem before and does anyone have a solution? any advice would help

Are you caning your car? From your name Im guessing you have a V8, how much power approx you putting out. Maybe its too much for your Tcase to handle. Are you running any lift? Is it possible that your driveshaft angle is too severe? Is it the first model Tcase? If there is no lip around the drainage nut (on the case) it is the first and substantially weaker Tcase (compared to the later models). If this is the case Id think about replacing it. Hope this helps

If it is the older one piece transfer case, you can make a simple brace that reinforces the top of the case

what condition were the transfere cases in? I was led to belive that they only break in half when the bushes and bearing inside them become work and let the teeth misalign and crack the housing.
