Mq Power Steering
very easy change over.
all you have to do is make sure u have the brakets for the pump to the motor. bolt the pump on to the side of the motor and take the 4 bolts out that are holding the steering box on.... also, leave the pitman arm on there ( the arm thats on the bottom of the box attached by a big nut and spline ) and knock out the arms that attach with a balljoin thats attached to that pitman arm.
your new box should still have the pitman arm on it, so just bolt the new box on connect the steering arms back up and connect the hoses fill her with fluid and put a belt on and bleed the air out and ur sweet.
its a 1 hour job.

God of Magnificant Ideas!
NB:
Pitman arms on power steering boxes ARE differant to the pitman arm on non powersteering boxes........
The two are not interchangable AT ALL
So make sure the power steering box you get has a pitman arm attatched

get a malet at belt it with the nut flush with the top of the thread and hit it firm so not to damage thread....droidt wrote:Undid the Nut at the end of the piman Arm, but can't seperate it from the stering rods , any tricks??
if that fails....
there is such a thing called a ball joint seperator, its like a big tuning fork looking thing.... they arent that dear and are very handy.....
but one sit it in the middle of the joint and crack it with a mallet, works everytime.
