Are the CV's on the front axle, that are covered by rubber boots the same as those contained in the crome ball on earlier models?
If not does anyone know of a P38a that has large tyres fitted (>33in) and how have the CV's coped?

P38a CV questions.

I think they are the same as the D2 CV's? I may be corrected here.
The D2 CV's with 33's are fine until you lock them. After locking mine started to click so I swapped them out for Maxidrive units which are fine on 35's so far. He puts in a bigger CV with a ring around the bell and predicts that the axle will break before the CV, though at full lock the CV may still break.
