Vitara P/Steer box oil seal troubles.

Hi folks,

Just wanted to draw on your extensive knowledge.

I have P/S fluid leaking (pretty heavily) from my Vitara box, and wonder if there's a conventional oil seal on the output (Pitman arm) shaft.

It seems that my local Suzuki dealer says that there IS NO seal on there, however, given the low viscosity of power steering fluid, and the vertical orientation of the shaft, I find this VERY hard to fathom.

Does anyone have either a diagram showing a part number, or at least a part number, or even confirmation that there is a seal present in this position (to save me having to take the box out and have a look to find out).

I'd like to get hold of one in Sydney if possible.

Oh, and if anyone has info regarding the similarities between the stud spacings on the carby base of the 8V Vitara motor and the stud spacings on the Swift/Vitara TBI assembly I'd really appreciate it too, as I'd really like to just move my TBI assembly over onto my Vitara without having to use the whole (FWD) 16V engine.
