I'm hoping for some thoughts here...
Looking in the specs in the owner's manual, the shorties have a lower GVM than comparable LWB models. If it's all the same running gear (anybody?) and the only difference is suspension (shorty rear springs are softer than the LWB springs, and Frank recently posted that tbars are different too) why can't I install LWB suspension (already have everything but front tbars ) and then legally use the LWB GVM figure?
Last I looked there was about 170kg difference between short and long. An extra 170kg in the payload is a lot of fuel and grog.
What's the catch?
