Has anyone taken their disco. apart? The screws holding the plastic top on mine are siezed and I am looking at trying to extend the shaft somehow as it is severely ristricting the travel (3" lift) and looks as though it is putting a lot of stress on the swaybar bushings/mounts.
I have sorted out the left hand side (using Terrano pins), but can't see if there is any way to mod the disconector side.
Don't want to remove completely as it looks like the springs won't stay captive, and my insurance will not cover me anyway.
Cheers,
Dave

Factory sway disconnects question
They must be able to be pulled apart. As I know of a modded FJ55, that has had a coil conversion and the front is a 5-link with heaps of travel. It used to have swaybars on the front using Nissan disconnects. And it had holes in the connet for the swaybar pins to pass thru on up travel.
Guts knows the bloke, but I dont think he is on here.
