suspension setup

Post by chunderlicious »

ok ive run into a few problems, other than money.

1. i dont know whether i should do body lift and chop the front gaurds or just do the gaurds.

2. i dont know whether to coil the rear (and front maybe) or leave it leaf sprung. keep in mind it will be my first atempt at coild sprung vehicles. so ill buy a kit (overkill or something similar) to help out.

3. if i do keep leaves should i RUF and hilux rears in the back 3/4 of course or should i hilux rears all round?

4. do i just give up, put my wallet away and get on with life being a navi?

the car will be used for general mucking round and wont be registered. i am building to learn more and perhaps have a bit of fun. i want to be able to give anything a go and not have to worry about problems that may be expensive to fit. any help would be great as im only green at this shite.

cheers

Evan

if you can afford it, coils all round would be awesome! Mud4B has done this and its unreal.

Lux rears all round is VERY long leaves, but would be great in SPOA for flex. need a lot of chassis extension to run them though.

Im doing lux fronts all round in about a week or so. lux fronts are 120mm longer than a zuk rear. zuk rears are 100mm longer than zuk fronts.

What size tyres do you want to run?

1 - depends on above
2 - bout 1200 F or R i think for kit
3 - chassis extension ruf with zook rears and use zook springs to do 3/4.
4 - possible
