I use CASTROL VMX-M 75W/85 and found this to be great the service manual recomends 80w90 gear oil but its too heavy and the lube pump in the gear box and the transfer struggles to pick it up especially when cold and the gearbox shift is real hard when cold cause the oil is so thick.

I'm using 80w/90 at the moment and have exactly that problem. I dont usally have a problem with it, I just shift gears accordingly, but the missus complains about it. Thanks for the advice, Ill dump it and give that oil a go at next service
