Disco II with ACE spring lift

Seeing we are moving to the Fraser Coast next month, we hope to be doing some more touring, so we are on the lookout for a TD5 Disco II Auto.

What I want to know is, if you do a 2" lift to them and they run ACE, is there any problems you encounter? I know you need to relocate the airbag height sensor, but is there any other probs?

Also, I was reading that if you chip them (ala Bruce Davis) you need to get the ACE sensor re-calibrated, do they do this at the time they chip them or is it not really needed?

Hi Maggot4x4

Zero problems with a 2" lift on the ACE so far with mine. I also have the Bruce Davis Chip and to my knowledge nothing extra was done with regards the ACE sensor re-calibration. Both mods simply fitted and worked straight away without affecting any other system in the car.

Hope this helps and good luck with the TD5, great machine and depending on what year you get, re-engage the CDL as this will be your single best improvement to an already very capable beast, I have the AMV kit and it works very well.
