to modify or not to modify?????

Post by wazdog »

Hey peoples,

Need some advice, i have come to the stage where i wanna get serious with my truck and don't know wether to spend the money on it or buy something already done. I currently own an MQ Patrol which i love, my planned mods include:

Engine conversion 350chev/injected holden 5lt (on gas preferably)
change the 4 speed to a 5speed man
6inch suspension 2inch body lift
diff locks (which ones i am unsure of)
35/36 inch muddies
then all the little bits like steering arms etc cause they are old and worn.

what do people reckon...............? i like the truck i have at the moment cause i can have fun and not worry about scratches and dints and i also know what it has done and where it has been cause it's been in the family since new.

cheers

if you are going to do all that start off with a gq with a blown motor. the gq should be had for 3k or so, even less when you part out all the other stuff. that way its all newer and cheaper in the long run.

had you had a shorter list of mods i would say keep what you are happy with

cheers bru
