ok here are some shots of a test run with the bigger rubber on. Got almost all of the rubs sorted out. The extra track makes a huge difference to stability. anyway enjoy.

What backspacing do you have on your rims?? and do the tyres rub on the springs on full steering lock?

i think - 30? you can just feel the lugs touch the spring on full lock. While im here, where can i get some extended shackes?

dont extend more than 1" (1/2" lift) it changes the pre-load on the leaf and shortens its life - makes the ride bumpier too...

i thought it was common knowledge?

ive heard it from a few suspension guys also..

basically by changing the angle of the leaf using a shackle, one end of the leaf bears more weight than the other end, this makes a harsher ride and tends to shag out that end of the leaf at the same time... you're basically changing its pivot point from the diff to somewhere offset from it.

The best way to run longer shackles is to also run a longer leaf to counter it =) - so ive been told.
