k
its not shackle reversle its a dropped front cross member cause i dont have anthing in the front of my truck cause it IFS i need to put the cross member in so it just a cross member that gets welded on the botom of the chassis with the spring hangers buit in the end of it there will be photos of it all on here tomorow
body lift done
alright i made a start lastnight i did the body lift
for those of you that havent done the body lift before it is piss easy and can be nocked over in 1 night
first of all 2days before staring i sprayed all the nuts with wd40 to help me on my way
2.stripped the the seats out and pealed the carpet back so i could get to the top of the bolts
3. probly not nessesary but i took side steps front and rear bar and towbar off
4. loosen all the bolts down to about 3 threads cabin and tray
5. i lifted the tray first not the suggested way but i made do with what i had i put a bottle jack in between the tire and inner guard and jacked drives side first just far enough to slip the blocks in and put the bolt through then do the nut up about 3 threads the reapeted this process onthe other side and tightend all bolts up
6. the cabin there is afew things to undo you have to undo the steering shaft i did this at the steering wheel end disconect the fuel hose and breather loosen the handbrake cable adjustment right off and undo the first bracket that holds the handbrake cable to the floor about half way down the body
7. i started on the passenger side once again not a suggested way but it worked i put my bottle jack on a milk crate with a thick bit of timber across it and a piece of timber between the top of the jack and the body placed roughly in the middle of the mounts then proceeded to jack away and fit all the blocks and bolts doing them up 3 threads and then did the same with the drives side
8. tighten all your bolts and then double check them and remember to tighte everything you loosen i.e steering handbrake
things you should get in advance fuel line extension probly not the same with all cars but 2 bolts on the tray need to be a different gauge to the rest they are thicker
A very easy job to do and in proves appearence entry exit angles and clearance sill and wheel arch looks great yes i did take photos i have to get them developped yes there are photos of my dodgey methods and yes i will post them

front in pieces
sorry but still no photos hopefilly thursday they will be up.
did alot of work today started about 10am put the car on stands and took off the wheels started with the upper control arms i undid them from the top ball joint and then undid the torsion bars completely removing the adjusterbolt then proceeded to undo the control arm end and just slid the hole torsion bar out. now i undone the hubs and all the ball joints and removed the hole disc assembly leaving the cv shafts hanging. now i undid all the steering removed the idler arm.copletely remove the lower control arms then simply unbolt the cross member and let everything drop out with a little perswaysion from the hammer.
i didnt need to remove the front tail shaft due to it already being out to make way for the dual transfer case.
now that everthing is unbolted and out of the way i was free to start cutting had to call it a day at 2.30pm due to lack of cutting discs for the grinder.
so far everything has been so simple you dont have to remember were any thing goes you dont need to take care because nothing is being reused so go hammer and tongs at it if someting isnt working dont get the shits with it just call up the grinder and cut the basted off i cut for nuts off and broke one bolt but who gives a cause you dont need it any more.
hope all this is some use to anyone there will be pics and more storie to come through the week.
