a few wiring problems

Post by Rhett »

heres whats going on I got a maruti ute that had a shagged body and a 82 shorty with a shagged datun motor in it and a 1300 in the shed. Ive taken the tub off the maruti cut the shorty back to take the fibreglass back and top off the maruti. pulled the maruti 1l out and bolted the 1300 in. Heres were my problem is Ive used the dash and harness out of the shorty in the cab but were it was hooked up to the datsun motor had been modded too much so I unplugged the harness just behind the fire wall. I then unplugged the maruti harness from behind the firewall. Ive gorn to plug it in but the plugs were different so I cut the plugs off and solderd the other plug on matching colours. I had a few left over both sides that had no maching colours. Ive wired the motor up and when I gave it a go to start it turned over but no spark. no power to both dizzy and coil no matter were the key was. Can I run my own wires from the ignition to the dizzy and coil or will i burn somthing?
