Gu (ST) Factory flare repair

Post by Slug »

Picked up a howling great stick while bush bashing the other day and popped a few of the locating lugs off the inside of the flare. Anyone seen them done or repaired these themselves ? I had a similar problem with my GQ flare and the crappy plastic they made them out of wouldn't take glue or fibreglass and the plastic welder said no way as well :(

Would be a shame to have to fork out for another simply because of a few lousy plastic lugs

Ideas anyone ?

Broke some from a front flare on a GU, glued them on with Loctite 380. It took a while for it to set but once dry it has never caused a problem.

If the mounts are still ok the clips can be bought throuhg nissan separatly. Other than that loctite or sikaflex and cross your fingers.
