Diesel OIL De-Sludging edited

Post by LuxyBoy »

Just want to let everyone know about this. I got it done and it is great; temperature needle sits about 2mm back from where it used to (can't be bad), truck pulls up hills easier and has more power through the gears. Done about a month ago and oil is still like honey :D
Whitenight got his done too; same results.

This is to clean out the gunk in your oil galleries. They hook up a machine that pumps a chemical through your motor (oil is drained already) and it flushes and gunk/slime/ash build up (whatever you want to call it) out. This frees up your galleries to run like they where meant to, to the fullest (bad pun i know).

Price: $105 (Tell them that you got this price from the forum that Brad posted; they told me they will do it at this price for all our members normally $145)
They can even come to you.

Place it was done:
L & V Motors
Unit 1/ 14 -16 Loganlea Rd
Waterford 4133

I'd guess its cleaning out the engine internally, like drain oil and flush. But cant be good for older engines if this is the case :?

I assume it's cleaning out waxy buildup in the fuel pump...(and the rest of the duel system really)

Over a long time diesels get thier oil all gunked up with carbon and gunk wich after a long time blocks the oilways and generaly makes your diesel a bit sluggish... well theres been this thing where you can run some diesel fuel in with your oil go for a run to warm her up a bit and when you drop the oil all this crap comes out.... never tryed it so i cant recomend it....anyone else?

Just whack a bottle of Wynns Diesel Fuel Treatment in the fuel tank.. and an Oil Flush through the oil before you drop it.. 20 bucks

But yeh.. what exactly do they do to 'desludge' it? Do they take anything apart or remove injectors or such?

I have heard of the old diesel through your oil system trick before, that just circulates the crap and can know where near clean like this does. This is the only thing circulating through your engine while they do it (NO OIL) and it runs through a heap of filtration and pumps the chemicals back in, therefore if it isn't meant to be in there they will catch it in the filters. I was very sceptical at first but i mechanic mate of mine that used to work at an engine reconditioning shop put me on to it. He has seen the before and after effect of this and swears by it. I trust him so i tryed it, very happy, customer service was great too.

This can also be used on petrol cars to, frees up sticky lifters.

but still, that cant be good for old diesels. Sumtimes the crap/sludge is stopping it from springing a leak :D

Does the same go for diesel injectors?? Some say the build up actually is beneficial for them and if you get rid of it, the body of the injector wears away and eventually needs replacing?

That does sound good how the solution is the only thing running through the engine.. would clean it quite well.. Yeh how many kms were on your cars? Sounds interesting :)

I dont think this does anything to the injectors

It desludges the oil system. nothing to do with the fuel system at all.

how do they hook it up out of curiosity?

They remove the oil filter and the sump plug and run the solution in reverse through you motor. I had 110,000km on the clock when I got mine done and noticed a difference when going uphills etc, no real difference off the line..

Mine was at 250k and i don't have an oil pressure gauge but the temp did drop a bit; which would indicate to me that the engine is doing it a bit easier.
