Intermittent Horn
Hey guys, i have a 40 series with the stock horn as well as an airhorn set up. I have a switch between them so i can flick between the two. This circuit works fine. When on the electric horns however they only sound every now and then and only very quietly when they do. When on the airhorns, with no pressure in the tank you can hear the solenoid clicking, however when theres pressure in the tank i have the same problem as with the elec horns; only sounds occasionally and doesnt seem to open the solenoid all the way.

My brother has a 40 and he experienced the exact same problems as you. I fixed it buy taking the steering wheel apart and filing the contacts of each horn pad.
Was a while ago and I can't remember how to get the horn pad apart but I remember it was a pita.
His is the one with the three spoked steering wheel and a little horn button on each spoke. I realised what it was because each horn button made the problem sound slightly different. One of them actually worked not too bad.
