I'm flipping the centers of some rims to increase track width on a hilux.

What would be OK to run, strictly offroad, 15x8 flipped or 15x10 flipped.

cheers SKANK

What size tyre are you running? What year Hilux? How much lift?

You only need an 8" rim for that tyre. I use 37" boggers on 8" rims for my hilux.

how r u planning to align your centers once u have flipped them? I recently did one of mine, made up some blocks on the bench and pressed the center into the rim until it bottomed out on the blocks. Worked fairly well, I have 1mm run out on the dial guage... would be interested to know if there's a better, more accurate way of achieving this...

cheers

Thats prob better than it was originally. Im yet to see a sunraisier style rim run any where near true.

so u recon a 1mm deflection will be ok to drive on... what about at 100km/hr on the highway??

are you saying that even new sunies aren't overly true?? someone did tell me that even in the factory all they do is press the centers in to a point... no fine adjusting done.

With 8" of lift, prob run 10's, I was running flipped 10's made lux very stable, with 5" of lift, and 14.5 wide boggers :D
