those highsteer arms are welded ..

5 years ago that is all that was available and only AllPro made the arms.
Gris Geiger gave his heaps in his 4runner and he never broke them.
AllPro say there new chrommoly arms are only 30% stonger.

So its not dodgey, just old technology.

I believe the tecnique of casting has been around for alot longer than welding... :finger:
