just wanted to know if everyones got the manual throttle control in the nh/nj series jabbers??? cos in the handbook it says that it should be diesel only, and does anyone use this to effect when offroading??? cos i have actually seen a few other guys, mainly nissan drivers using old pushbike gear shifters to manually control their idle? is this only valuable in an auto? and what about real sticky situations, just gotta hope u can back it off in time or what? i dunno, im just curious cos i found it today the idle was a bit high, had nothing to do with the manual control, tweaked the adjusting screw on the throttle body, but yeh thats how i found and became interested, so does everyone have it? autos? manuals? diesels? petrols? and who uses it when wheeling??
yep got the hand throttle. Haven't used it in the jabber yet, but used to in those vastly overated POS hiluxes on really rough patches, particularly steep bits.
yeh fair enough guys thanks, just wasnt sure as the handbook says diesels only, but hey, been playing with it ever since, been usign it like people use cruise control, away from traffic of course
