Hi guys,
I have got some 6" speakers that I would like to install into the back doors of my dual cab hilux. Its an ln106r 1990 model.
Can anyone help me out and give me some info on how to do it? There are no holes there already so I would need to make some... Someone can guide me would be good!
Also, where should the wiring run? How do you run it between the cab and the door? The gap between the door and the cab is out in the open and no tubes to run the wiring through.
Help please.
Thanks guys

Speaker install in Hilux

WELL all relatively simple.
First remove your door trim, you should know how to do this i suppose?
when that is done look for a sutible place to put them, if i can remember correctly i installed them in a mates truck- front bottom, ( thats the back doors-the furtherest front on the bottom.)
make sure the speaker magnet is not going to touch the door panel.
Now all you have to do is use some mathmatics and calculation on where to cut your holes in the door trim. (Screwing the speakers to the trim is not a problem.)
Then routing the wires is the trickiest, you'll have to drill 2 holes the in each side. (one on the door and the pillar.) Also get some grommets to place into the holes to prevent chanfer of the speaker cable.
The trick is to route the speaker cable through the door and then through the pillar. Then trace them under the carpet and follow the route under the centre console, then to the headdeck.
Hope all of this help, if you have any questions PM me
Cheers
